BEAT 2019 inspires budding artists
As part of the University of West London’s Outreach programme, Co-ordinator Krishna Maroo introduced twenty aspiring artists to the reality of being a professional artist.
Following a workshop in the university as part of BEAT 2019, she brought her students to a number of local BEAT venues to see the work exhibited. One such venue was that of Houria Niati at venue 19, where they could view the paintings in her working environment and discuss issues such as initial ideas for artwork and how to develop ideas and exhibit work. “There was a lot of good humour and a lot of enthusiasm” said Houria. “I will definitely invite more for BEAT 2020”.
