BEAT EXHIBITOR CODE OF CONDUCT

Introduction Borough of Ealing Art Trail (BEAT) is a community event built on trust and mutual respect. By applying to participate, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Failure to adhere to these standards may result in your removal from the Trail and exclusion from future events.

1. Professionalism & Respect

  • Treat all visitors, volunteers, fellow artists, and neighbours with courtesy and respect.

  • We operate a Zero Tolerance Policy regarding abuse, harassment, aggression, and discriminatory, sexualised, or aggressive language towards visitors or BEAT volunteers.

2. Interaction with the Public

  • BEAT expects that children and at-risk adults will be supervised by their parents/carers. However, you must ensure that you are never alone in a closed room with a visiting child or at-risk adult. Keep studio doors open or ensure a second person (friend/partner) is present in the venue where possible.

  • Maintain professional physical and verbal boundaries with all visitors. Do not engage in inappropriate physical contact or intrusive questioning.

3. Reputation

  • You must not act in a way that brings BEAT or the wider artist community into disrepute.

  • Complaints received from the public will be investigated by the Committee against this Code.
