Soyeun Margolin
I create detailed paintings inspired by the complexity and beauty of nature. Animals, flowers, waves and shifting landscapes draw me in, and I enjoy capturing their textures, patterns and movement with precision.
I'm fascinated by how light transforms a surface and how small details can reveal the character of a subject.
Before focusing on painting, I worked for many years as a fashion designer. That background shaped my sensitivity to structure, craftsmanship and fine detail.
I've always loved embroidery, and recently I've been turning my painted images into embroidered patches and incorporating them into fashion pieces.
Blending painting and textile work feels like a natural extension of my creative process.
I see myself as an artist who is always researching, experimenting, and learning. Each new piece is a chance to push my technique further and explore new ways of expressing the natural world. Through my work, I hope to share the richness, energy, and intricate beauty that I find in the subjects I paint.
