Yasmine Kadhim
I am an artist, illustrator and creative facilitator. My work explores the interplay of Arabic calligraphy, Islamic architecture and botanical forms, blending colour, pattern and abstract mark-making. I am inspired by cultural heritage and visual storytelling, and I love creating work that connects people to these traditions in fresh ways.
I am an Ealing local and lead workshops across the borough, engaging people of all ages in collaborative art-making, visioning exercises and hands-on creative projects that foster connection and cultural engagement. Alongside my studio practice, I have developed murals, illustrated children’s books and led many community arts programmes through Ealing Council and other local community initiatives.
My work has been featured in exhibitions across London, including Safehouse 1+2 (2024), S&P Gallery (2022), and Espacio Gallery (2021). These experiences reflect my commitment to merging visual artistry with storytelling, while my workshops and public art focus on accessibility, dialogue and community impact.
