Jacqui Sinnatt
My subject matter is nature. My images are often abstract, always organic.
I work with my local environment, photographing the flora and fauna that inhabit those spaces, and the textures and patterns found in the smallest details. Sometimes an image captures the essence of a place through its simplicity and tells its own story. At other times I search to discover the secrets that lie beneath.
My digital creations look past the obvious to reveal the depth and beauty of nature, finding hidden creatures, complex patterns and other worlds. Unseen beauty in the everyday world around us.
In recent years I have focused on building my career as an artist, interpreting nature and her environment both literally and through digital abstraction. In the last year I have created artworks inspired by the green spaces near my home in West London (including series on Richmond, Ealing and Gunnersbury Parks). I have shown my photographs, digital images and silk scarves at exhibitions in Olympia, Acton and with Ealing Beat.
