Carolyn Fallek
I originally trained and worked as an architect. As the world became more computerised, I looked towards different “hands-on” ways of expression.
Jewellery was my first detour; encapsulating the world of architecture in miniature form. Printmaking, in its various forms, came later; transforming the 3 dimensional to 2 dimensions combined with the use of colour.
Throughout my work, both line and the balance of negative and positive spaces are of particular importance to me.
