Bijou de Carine

Sheila is a self-taught jewellery maker who is always happy to take commissions in addition to the pieces she creates. She fashions one of a kind necklaces, earrings and bracelets, with wires that are woven, wrapped, hammered, twisted and turned incorporating any combination of pearls, semi-precious stones, crystals, fibre and beads. She also designs and creates wedding jewellery, tiaras, hair vines and combs and ankle pieces. Her creations are informed by the multitude of colour combinations and textures encountered on a daily basis. 

Like many creatives, she enjoys working with various media - yarn, paint, paper, often transferring learnings from these to her work in jewellery.  This year, she will also be offering original textile inspired framed art and selected canvas pieces.
