Vicky Saumarez

Vicky Saumarez comes from an academic background, having trained in figurative art in Florence, Italy, at the specialist realist art school Studio Cecil Graves. She uses her classical knowledge in her paintings and drawings, while adding humour and experimentation to her work.

Her speciality is portraiture and the human form, practicing life drawing every week at her drop-in class 'Drink & Draw' in Hanwell. Recent work include large scale domestic portraits.

Vicky has been teaching art to adults locally for several years, as well as running specialist courses for the Royal Academy and City Academy in town. She is the permanent tutor to the 4020 Art Group teaching all aspects of drawing and painting in the group's studio at Hanwell Community Centre.
