Helen Brasier
I am a 19 year old photographer, born and raised in Ealing, showcasing the ‘art of noticing’ through my landscape, portrait and studio photography.
I grew up around art - from going to galleries with my grandma, getting to work at my aunt’s crochet studio, doing crafts with my mum as a child and nosying through old photo albums. I have always loved creating. I was gifted my first camera age ten and loved it! I still use it to this day along side my newer equipment. I undertook formal education in both photography and creative media from the ages of 13-17. While my studies taught me fundamental skills my creativity felt squashed. I am now on a journey of making photography my own again and finding my style.
My style is very spontaneous, I love to create on my feet hence the phrase 'the art of noticing'. You won't often find me without a camera - I love capturing what's in front of me, fleeting moments and unexpected beauty. Creating reminds me to slow down and be still, it helps me find pockets of peace & tranquility in what can be a chaotic and uncertain world. I love having photos to look back at and am excited to be sharing them at BEAT 2025.
