Elinor Turner
I have been drawn to creative practice from a young age, often losing myself in drawing, painting and making. This lifelong curiosity led me to complete an Art Foundation course alongside further study in printmaking, oil painting and sculpture, allowing me to explore a wide range of techniques and materials.
My work is primarily figurative and inspired by the world around me. I create still lifes, landscapes, portraits and figure studies (both human and animal!), responding to everyday moments and the quiet beauty found within them. I am particularly interested in capturing a sense of presence and atmosphere, aiming to translate what I see and feel into visual form.
I work across a diverse range of media including oil paint, graphite, textiles, printmaking and sculpture, choosing each material according to what best suits the subject and my creative instinct at the time.
Art is a joyful and reflective process for me — a way to appreciate my surroundings more deeply and to celebrate the beauty found in ordinary life.
