Dominik Klimowski

I paint scenes from memory and imagination, based on my experiences in Poland and the UK. They resemble dreams, fairytales and stories. Some paintings are inspired by locations in Ealing, while others are observations of local areas - you may find me sketching on benches in parks and forests. I work in oil, gouache, watercolour, charcoal, ink, as well as printmaking and experimental photographic darkroom techniques. I studied Fine Art at Chelsea and Kingston, and have exhibited over 30 years. I have also published a book of short stories 'Welcome to the Real World' (2009), and made short films. One of my films, 'Waves' (2018) won an award at festivals including the inaugural Ealing Film Festival. My artworks range from large scale to pocket-sized. There is something for everyone.
