Mosaic Art in Lockdown

Mosaic artist Rosanna Henderson tells us how the current crisis has affected her artistic process.

“During the lockdown I have remained creative and am still working on my mosaics and glass works.

As always, I have a few pieces on the go. However, the added bonus is the fact that I have been able to complete pieces that have been sitting around for a while. I like closing down a project as it gives me a great sense of satisfaction.

As the weather has been good it is great working in the garden. Having no deadlines or other plans, it is nice to work as and when I want and for as long as I want. I have found I still feel inspired during these strange times and if anything, am getting even deeper into my creative mind and enjoying the wider scope this is allowing me.

I intend to display a selection of my artwork from my front garden during the 2 weekends of BEAT.”
