Will Higgins
My name is William Higgins (Wills) and getting shocks and creating shocks is part of my life. I am a qualified and experienced high voltage electrician and I created my unique pieces of art using the Lichtenberg machine built by myself and registering approximately 15,000V when maxed. I love the enchanting feeling, when with the flow of electric current and the flow of creativity, there flow away my everyday worries. My pieces are unique, like snowflakes, although might seem similar, they are never the same as electricity changes through the wood, having its own mind and only being controlled by my hand and desire. I use locally sourced quality 40mm thick upcycled oak wood saved from landfill to give it a new lease of life and to style up any living or work space. The skateboards are made from 7 plies of maple wood from Canada thinly sliced and pressed together to give them their shape. The patterns created are filled with epoxy resin, lacquered and finally varnished to finish.
