Susie Heyes
Susie Heyes is best known for her atmospheric, minimalist landscapes that evoke stillness and peace. Often featuring water, these works symbolize freedom and simplicity, drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese art.
In addition to her tranquil landscapes, Susie creates vibrant pieces that explore colour, mark-making, and texture. She frequently incorporates acrylic inks alongside watercolours, using granulation medium and salt to enhance depth and contrast. Granulation occurs when pigments settle into grain-like particles on the paper, creating a rich, dappled effect.
Her inspiration comes from many sources, particularly scenes in Ealing and West London, as well as locations she has visited across the UK and abroad.
As well as her original landscapes, she will also be displaying her wide range of more affordable prints and greeting cards. Many of these are of landmarks and places around Ealing.
