Needle, Pen & Brush trio Lynne Truex, Gabrielle Fagan & Diana Boydell specialise in fashion one-offs, embroidered pictures, landscape/portrait drawings and sketches and abstracts/landscape paintings.

Lynne Truex is a retired Fashion Further Education tutor from Kensington & Chelsea College with an extensive fashion career and training. She also has a Stitched Textile degree from Bucks New University. This year for BEAT her work will feature hand pattern cut and constructed, pared down, Japanese inspired clothing. These will be one off, one size women’s wear. There will also be tops made from her own designed fabric.

In addition she will exhibit hand painted, miniature, minutely stitched pictures of wild flower scenery and other painted and hand stitched pictures depicting her 50s childhood. Instagram: crinolynnie

For Gabrielle Fagan observing and noticing detail is essential as a journalist and those two skills are integral to her work in art. She enjoys using and experimenting with different materials - from charcoal and pencil to acrylics and oils (the latter’s a new experience). Her subject matter can be scenes from local parks and dog walkers to portrait line drawings or still life and landscapes real or imagined. Diana Boydell is a Fine Art graduate who paints landscapes, nudes and portraits in oil and abstract art in acrylics. She enjoys the interplay of colours and is open to commissions to copy paintings, paint landscapes, portraits or pets. Instagram: writedrb
