Naomi Critcher

Naomi is a part time ceramic and metalwork artist. She makes wheel thrown multifunctional and decorative forms, incorporating the use of etched metal giving it a unique, distinctive style. Her work is inspired by time spent by the Cornish coast, in particular, surface texture and patterns in nature.

Naomi has always had a passion for making. She studied Theatre Production and Design before moving into the film industry where she has worked as a costume prop maker, working with a variety of materials, for the past 38 years.

In 2018, she joined a weekend pottery class and was hooked. Her passion for clay and metal is all consuming and hopes one day soon it will be her full time work.

This will be the third time Naomi has exhibited at BEAT and she is very much looking forward to it.
