Naomi Critcher

Naomi makes wheel thrown functional wares and decorative forms in stoneware, with the incorporation of etched metal. Naomi is a part-time potter, using every spare moment creating small batch ceramics, which she sells every few months, from her online shop.

Having worked in the film industry for almost 38 years, as a costume prop maker, but always having a passion for pottery, she decided during lockdown to take the opportunity to practise on a second hand wheel and was hooked.

It was also a natural progression to incorporate metal into her work as this had been her main practise as a prop maker. Working from both her small garden workshop in Ealing and a studio based on the Cornish coast, she is inspired by her love of nature's patterns, textures, colours and forms.
