Pottery is my retirement occupation, in equal measures satisfying and frustrating. Playing with clay and combining shapes, textures, colours, patterns, techniques, to make functional objects is a never-ending quest. The possibilities are so infinite that I rarely make similar pots - except when I set out to make a set. For the user, a handmade bowl, cup, teapot or vase is far more interesting than an industrial product, however perfect.
