Hanwell Artists
We are a group of 3 independent artists who have come together as a group because we respond to each other's creative work. This includes painting, photography and printmaking. We offer paintings in various mediums, original photographs, cards and prints for sale.
Maggie Le Rougetel
People and the natural world are the subjects that inspire me most. I live in West London and find images in the streets and land around, but also from further afield. I paint mostly in oils, a medium I find expressive and adaptable.
Tim Le Rougetel
My second exhibition at BEAT in consecutive years builds on my existing portfolio of People, Places and Peculiarities – street photography focusing on a mixture of portraits and urban landscape settings.
I’m interested in capturing subjects at their most natural, whilst they’re out and about and being themselves, usually in London, sometimes elsewhere. Any peculiarities in the way the people interact with the camera, or the how place itself forms either a captivating backdrop, are unintended and organic.
I shoot on a range of different cameras, from mirrorless digital to 35mm black and white, and even on smartphone. Each of my three photos is taken using a different camera to illustrate my varied approach to photography.
