Hanwell Artists

Maggie Le Rougetel
Maggie came to painting and drawing later in life and is finding it a fulfilling medium of expression.

She enjoys using differing styles from figurative to abstract, and often a combination of the two.

Her preferred medium is oil paint. She is inspired by people, the natural world and the built environment and is often deeply moved by world events and universal challenges.

Tim Le Rougetel
Tim is a photographer based in Waltham Forest, having grown up in Hanwell. His work explores the casual narrative of people and places through candid street scenes, street portraits and architecture on 35mm and 120mm black and white and colour film.

Many of Tim's images focus on single subjects in street settings to emphasise both the individual and the built environment around them. Recently he has been focusing on the obscure and partially seen subjects in foggy conditions, which lend an air of uncertainty to his photographs.

Abigail Elverd
Abigail Elverd is a London based fine artist, art facilitator and tutor. She has a BA in Fine Art and works across different disciplines. Her current work and focus is in Painting and Printmaking.

Using references from the Old Masters colour palette, she adds layers of pigment using various mark making techniques and processes to produce a range of mixed media works in Abstract Impressionism. Working from her allotment studio taking inspiration from her surroundings and its seasons, she allows the work to be a spontaneous process of unpredictability, as well as drawing on her memories of travels and observing the archaeological imprints etched into the landscape.

Brenda Gabriel
Brenda is a ceramicist and painter. A common theme in her work is colour. She makes functional decorative pottery and semi abstract paintings, as well as desigining cards depicting local landscapes.
