Hanwell Artists

We are three independent artists who have come together as a group because we respond to each other's creative work. This covers painting, photography and printmaking. Our work ranges from figurative to abstract, working in oils and acrylics, and photography.

We each have roots in West London and draw our inspiration from the landscape, cityscape and beyond; capturing wide skies, rugged landscapes and deep undergrowth to the streets, human figures and feral wildlife.

Abigail Elverd
Abigail Elverd is a London based Fine Artist, Art Facilitator/Tutor. Has a BA in Fine Art and works across different disciplines. Current work and focus is in Painting and Printmaking.

Using references from the Old Masters colour palette, she adds layers of pigment using various mark making techniques and processes to produce a range of mixed media works in Abstract Impressionism. Working from her Allotment Studio taking inspiration from her surroundings and its seasons, she allows the work to be a spontaneous process of unpredictability, as well as drawing on her memories of travels and observing the archaeological imprints etched into the landscape.

Paintings/Prints and Greeting cards will be available to purchase.

Maggie
People and the natural world are the subjects that inspire me most. I live in West London and find images in the streets and land around, but also from further afield. I paint mostly in oils, a medium I find expressive and adaptable.

Tim
I take photos of people and objects in the moment, spontaneously, without overthinking the subject matter and focusing on simple composition. A recurring theme of my work is self-portraits in reflected windows and shopfronts. I use a variety of compact cameras, Polaroid cameras and smartphone cameras to take my pictures.
