Emiliya Atanasova

I realised that I liked drawing in my childhood when I used to draw famous rock bands from the 70s and began selling my works. That time in my communist country this music was prohibited to listen to, and it was quite a dangerous hobby and of course I had been punished by both teachers and the police. It was quite serious reason to quit the art. In my teenage years I went to college to study architecture where I built up my drawing skills. Then I got married, had my son and gave up on arts for some time. In 2019 I discovered Drink and Draw events and it unlocked my love for art and I have continued my training and studying life drawing and portraiture with Vicky Saumarez. Also developing pastels, oil and acrylic painting in OPEN Ealing with amazing tutors. I am inspired by the Impressionist painters and have continued to study this style as well.
