David Cottingham

An Internationally known artist with many national and international shows to his credit, David graduated from St Martin’s School of Art where he studied sculpture with William Tucker, Phillip King RA and Sir Anthony Caro. He is now a London-based artist and has developed a large body of work in both the figurative and abstract traditions. His work ranges from landscape-influenced, abstract paintings to large, figurative, dance-influenced works on canvas.

The internationally exhibitions including New York, Chicago, London, Beirut and Rome. Forthcoming shows include an exhibition of new Dance work at D Contemporary Gallery in Mayfair.Commissions include work for Cartlidge Morland in the City of London, featuring work in the London Light series. He also has work published in several books including: “Life Drawing Class”published by Harper Collins and in the US by Watson Guptill.

David is Hon Vice President of the Drawing Society of the Federation of British Artists. Member of Axis, Member of the Riverside Art Group and the Chelsea Arts Club.
