Sukkhi Rooprai

I am a Fine Arts student at OCA. My creative practice in art is interdisciplinary and I work with a diverse range of mediums including: Photography, Moving Image, Creative writing, Sculpture, Textiles and Mixed Media. Nature Connectedness is at the heart of my practice and I explore how this material connection is embodied and developed through everyday experiences such as walking in local place. This multi-faceted eco-psychological concept is unpacked through mixed-media painting, assemblage, fine art photography and embroidery. The collection of works uncover contemporary material experiences of connection which are reflected in nature as fragmented and momentary; and in turn inform perceptions of identity and belonging.
