Sue Stamper-Iveson
I work in wide range of media, enjoying experimenting with different ways of representation. In my portfolio you will find oils, acrylics, ink, encaustic wax, silk, etching, chine collé, linocut, watercolours, pastels and more.
Visual art has always been one of the strands of my life, inspired by finding joy in the diversity of the natural world. Another significant strand has been working with people in coaching, mentoring and pastoral contexts. These strands naturally intertwine and enrich each other as, for me, art is about noticing and different ways of seeing.
The world changes moment by moment whether a wildlife encounter, the light in the sky or the movement of water. Although an image may capture the moment there is also, within that image, a story and an anticipation of what might happen next. My works are now displayed in many homes and offices. In their different situations, they invite the owners to enjoy, notice and find a resonance in their own response to an image and the possibilities that it contains.
