Robert Bramwell-Jones
For this year’s BEAT he is presenting monthly grids of 30 images, each image representing a day of that month. Individual images follow a theme for the month making up a whole and are also able to stand on their own. Months vary in modality between the figurative, representational or abstract. All explore the use of line, shape and/or colour. This work serves to represent a visual journal and celebration of time.
Robert is also interested in the way visual art (as all the Arts) can be a way of exploring inner as well as outer issues, awareness and experiences: in the way it also serves to enliven and inspire on both individual and community levels; in how it can express (and bring awareness to) a continuum of being from our innermost to outer levels. And how the experience of these relates to our wellbeing and growth.
His work is thus at times both serious and fun. He hopes you enjoy the colour, form and line in these Day/Month Paintings and the associations they invoke.
