Miranda Baxter
I am a mother, creative practitioner and project manager specialising in cultural learning.
I tell stories of places, people and relationships in images, words and sometimes sound. A recent project uses photo collage and words to explore the experiences of an adolescent inpatient.
I find inspiration in the layers, textures and colours in old magazines, found objects, and peeling surfaces in urban and natural spaces. I have recently begun making short films with music and sound by creative friends.
I have been experimenting in different media across the years, with a specialisation in egg tempera. I am dedicated to the photograph and collage as primary source material and theoretical partners.
I have studied at The University of Oklahoma, University of the Arts London and University College London.
