Lynette Juliet Barreto
I have loved art from a young age when my mother introduced me to a variety of creative outlets. As my passion grew over the years, I took the opportunity to create art wherever I could, exploring many different disciplines, learning to develop my skills, and enabling me to express myself. I enjoy creating drawings, paintings, calligraphy art, and mixed media.
My style of art has been influenced by contemporary art, art nouveau, and abstract art. Nature inspires my art and I try to find the hidden beauty in the subjects, by capturing their emotions and character. I love discovering new techniques in my artwork and teaching others.
Art is an integral part of my life, and this was truly embraced when I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. I found comfort in the simplicity of creating and it helped me disconnect from the world, offering me a place of serenity. This period of time helped me grow into the artist I am today. As a result my work reflects this journey and moments in my life. This has driven me to create things that make me happy and make others smile.
