Katy Hugh-Jones

My work is mainly oil paintings and pastel drawings of a variety of subjects including landscapes, portraits and still life. I am process driven and my paintings specifically explore expressive mark making and vibrancy of colour. This year, in my still life work, I have been paying particular attention to the quality of the textiles using soft and fluid brush marks to create a sense of movement.
