Iti Das

Having left the corporate world behind five years ago, I am now a full time artist, developing a recognised painting style that uses both brushes and palette knives to create large, statement artworks. Using colour-rich oils, I use the highest quality materials and work pieces over a long period of time, creating layers to build strong pieces that can either be 100% abstract in their nature, or incorporate figurative elements in an abstract form. If using approved/public reference materials, I tend to use only black and white to enable me to interpret my own colour palette to the piece. This can often by dictated by my mood, or an interior brief, that I will have normally finalised by visiting the prospect site to get a better feeling of how the piece (in my head) may fit in situ.
