Dmitri Miletskii

After moving to Toronto, Canada from Russia in 1996, Dmitri continued to paint and pursue his art education at the Toronto School of Art, while also specialising in Human Biology at the University of Toronto. Creating strong watercolour images of Russian literature and history, he was inducted into the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, becoming its youngest member in 2001.

Dmitri moved to London, England, in 2005 and it has been a home for him since then. He continues create artwork and his distinctive style has varied in mediums and subject matter. Their collective appeal garnered media attention and further commissions, notably for a conference on Collateral Damage at the University of Toronto.

Splitting his time between London, England and Peterborough, Canada his work has broadened from watercolour still-life and commissioned portraiture to oil paintings of musicians and their music. Dmitri has enjoyed successful solo and group shows at Pitzshanger Museum Gallery (London, UK), Iona House Gallery (Oxford, UK), Artists of Russia (Guildford, UK), Gallery of Music & Art (Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas), Toronto Art Expo, Toronto Outdoor Exhibition, Toronto Hart House Gallery and at The Battersea Affordable Art Fair (London, UK).
