Christine Shirley

I have developed a variety of interests in oil paint. My inspiration includes portraits, animals, flowers, and landscape, Ealing life, as well as a surrealist style. As an art therapist I facilitate adult groups to explore creativity and personal development. Colour and it's healing power is another interest and can be seen in my flower paintings. I have exhibited in Paris, Monmartre, Lille, London, Colchester and Greece, and taken a role as a resident artist at the Skyros Centre, Skyros, Greece, and Hawkwood House, Gloucestershire. I love doing commissions in oils or other media, portraits or other subjects, and adult class teaching. After Ravensbourne and Goldsmiths Colleges I was lucky to have drawing lessons at the Royal Academy with Sir Hugh Casson.
