Ceramics came into my life in my late thirties. Although art has always been present in the form of drawing and writing. Clay brought a new exciting element to expression. With its mouldable and messy construct, there is a certain relief in bringing order out of chaos. The hard physical preparation work feels decisive while the humming sound of the wheel is open to my moods and interpretations.

I started working with clay about two decades ago, but it's only now, in 2024, that I've decided to pursue it as a full-time career and call myself an artist.

My artwork is heavily influenced by my Nordic roots. The vastness of the Swedish forests and the long, dark winters have instilled a sense of melancholy in me, which serves as an unending source of inspiration. I have also spent many years living in Italy and some of my pieces exhibit baroque and romantic elements as a warm reminder of this important period of my life.

I have always had a strong passion for human disorder, music, and Russian literature. My grandfather introduced me to these subjects as a child, and they have greatly influenced my perception of life in general. Therefore, they are essential to the expression of my values through art.

Working mostly with stoneware I create both practical and decorative pieces that fit effortlessly into home.
