My enjoyment of Floral Art began in early childhood. As a student I learnt to paint very traditionally in watercolours on paper. My work has now evolved: my preferred medium is acrylics on canvas; I enjoy exploring the patterns of flowers and the formation of leaves. Creating flowing lines, shadows and colour blending are all important elements. I often work on close up images; my paintings are relatively accurate but not photographic
