A meeting of art and poetry
Lynn Martinez - Lynn Martinez grew up in Warrington, but settled in West London in 1990. She started painting seriously in 2008 and enjoys a wide range of techniques including pastels, oils, lino printing & watercolour but mainly works in acrylic. Working in a figurative style, no subject matter is out of bounds, but she particularly enjoys depicting people. She can sometimes be seen in local cafes sketching other customers while enjoying a latte, or relieving the boredom of the train with a sly pencil drawing.
Kim McLaughlin - mainly studied in calligraphy and more recently picked up a paint brush and found watercolour. I have interests in trees and foliage, buildings and recently portraiture with charcoal. I love to paint and spend many hours lost with a paint brush finding new ways of bringing paper to life.
Debra Collis - Debra is inspired by the urban landscape, both familiar and further afield. She depicts the energy and spirit of the places she visits in oils, pastels, prints as well as mosaic. She also welcomes commissions for mosaic and works with community projects as well as teaching art for Ealing adult learning.
Our part in BEAT will also bring local poets together in words and pictures. We hope you enjoy visiting us and find our work a pleasure to read and view. We look forward to meeting you!
